1. Always be on your BEST behavior! Please be respectful of the dance instructors and your fellow dancers. It is rude to talk over the instructors or while they are instructing others. Negative comments about other dancers will not be tolerated.
2. Notify us of any address or phone number change as soon as possible.
3. No Gum Chewing, Food or Drink in Studios. No Smoking allowed in building. No Running or Screaming in Studios or Hallways.
4. No loose jewelry can be worn during class. No necklaces, bracelets, rings, anklets or large or hoop earrings. (Studs may be worn) Students will be asked to remove any loose jewelry before participating in class.
5. Anyone more than 10 minutes late will not be allowed into class unless calling ahead.
6. Bad Weather Policy: Notification will be posted on website, LEX18 and outgoing message on answering machine. Morning Classes (weekday) will be closed along with Fayette County Schools, Evening Classes will be posted by 2:30pm, Saturday classes will be posted by 9am, and Sunday classes will be posted by noon.
7. Facebook/Myspace: You may not associate yourself with the studio if there are any inappropriate photos or content on your pages. This includes drinking, smoking, profanity, etc. (Associations include T-shirts, photos of studio or recitals and any mention of the studio.) Violations of this rule are grounds for suspension!
8. Make-up Policy: 24 hour notice is required in order to receive credit for missing a class. Student may take an additional class the following week to makeup for the missed class. No refunds will be given for prepaid classes!
Effective July 1, 2010: Credits and/or Makeup classes will not transfer across semesters! Credits must be used within the same semester purchased!
9. Dress Code: Students may wear whatever is most comfortable, as long as it allows for movement and is appropriate for the selected class. Suggested attire for ballet is leotard, tights and ballet slippers. All other dance styles may wear some combination of dance pants, sweat pants, t-shirts, tank tops, etc. Jeans and Pajama pants are NOT suggested. Please no street shoes or high heels on the dance floors! Hair should be pulled back and out of face.
10. Recital Requirements: In addition to the recital fee, students are responsible for the following...
Ballet Students: Pink tights and slippers
Tap Students: Black tap shoes
Jazz Students: Black jazz shoes/slippers
Hip Hop Students: White sneakers
Parents
--Please pick up children ON TIME. If more than 10 minutes late, you will be charged a babysitting fee of $1 per minute.
--Returned checks will incur a $25 charge.
--We do not carry insurance for the students. Students are required to be covered by their family’s policy. If injury occurs, it is understood by all parties that the student’s policy is their only source of reimbursement.
